Gozo Region Starts Candidacy Bid for Title of European Region of Gastronomy 2026.
Consultations
June – August 2023
Regular meetings were held with direct and indirect stakeholders of the gastronomy scene in Gozo. Moreover a Public Call for Projects was issued.
Bid Book
November 2024
Bid Book, written by the Gozo Region, submitted to IGCAT and published to the public.
Jury Visit
February 2024
The IGCAT Jury visits Gozo for a week and explores Gozo’s varied gastronomical landscape. At the end of their visit, they announced that they were recommending Gozo for the title of European Region of Gastronomy 2026.
Title Ratified
June 2024
The IGCAT AGM votes to ratify the recommendation and officially awards the title to the Gozo Region.

September 2024
